Current downloads and manual updates
Use the download page to open GitHub and choose an available installer and the public GitHub releases for their version-specific notes and assets. Historical release details below are not a claim about the latest available version.
Builds containing the manual checker show newer compatible releases in Settings → Updates and open the installer in your browser. Installation and relaunch are manual. Older builds need a manual website/GitHub installation to obtain the checker. See Update Rudr.
Rudr 0.34.0 alpha
The 0.34.0 alpha release was published on September 6, 2026. Its assets include Mac arm64 and Mac x64 DMGs and their update blockmaps. It does not include a Windows binary.
The historical release review covered desktop behavior at that revision; the installation and update guides also describe the newer manual checker. Native installation and provider workflows have not yet been walked through on every platform.
Use Update Rudr to inspect your installed build and platform availability before selecting a download.
Behaviors covered by this documentation
The current guide set explains the combined Code model/effort control, Claude Code/Codex linked continuation, previous-session references, workspace panels, usage accounting, and the current Settings labels.
Recent documented interface behavior includes shared model selection in Chat and Code, keyboard focus restoration in menus/dialogs, explicit recovery when provider usage checks need sign-in, and handling for delayed cancellation around queued Code work. These details help interpret the current interface; they do not establish feature parity among harnesses.
Check compatibility after updating
- Open Settings → Updates and confirm the installed version.
- Open Settings → Usage → Diagnostics to record the coding CLI version and route if a feature changed.
- Check the relevant guide and Capabilities and limitations before assuming a native command or control is supported.
- Report a regression with the old/new Rudr versions, provider version, and exact observable change.
Muse installation guidance remains incomplete, and Rudr Code remains pre-alpha. Release publication does not remove those limits. See reporting a problem.
