Set appearance and reading size
- Open Settings → Appearance.
- Under Theme & Appearance, choose System, Light, or Dark.
- Select a Light theme preset and Dark theme preset and inspect the live preview.
- Under Transcript & Reading, choose Transcript text size and Transcript width.
- Read any save error before leaving Settings; appearance changes persist live.
Text sizes are Small, Medium, and Large. Transcript widths are Narrow, Medium, Wide, and Full. These control reading layout rather than the model’s context size or attachment capacity. Cancel does not reverse appearance already saved live.
Arrange pane tabs
Under Pane Layout, select Horizontal or Vertical. This changes auxiliary pane tabs; the main stage retains its floating rail. For actual panel placement and resizing, use tabs and panels.
Choose startup behavior
Under Startup, choose Default mode and whether to show Splash animation on launch. Replay Setup Guide opens the first-launch walkthrough, including the setup guide, keychain primer, and survey where applicable.
Replaying onboarding is not a reset of provider credentials or a reinstall. Your selected display preset likewise does not change permission mode or access route.
If the result is hard to read
Try a wider transcript or larger text, then inspect overlapping menus and dialogs at your actual window size. System reduced-transparency behavior can affect desktop materials; its appearance still needs native platform capture for this draft. Report the OS, display scaling, theme, and affected surface if a control remains unreadable.
